It happened in Lagos yesterday, Tuesday,30th of June,2026. Rain fell heavily from morning till afternoon. In less than two hours, everywhere was flooded. Roads turned to river. Cars stopped moving. Shops closed.  In one area of Lagos, the flood was worst. Water rose high and trapped some kids who were coming back from school. The current was strong. People were shouting. Parents were running up and down looking for their children. That was when some guys in the area stepped in.  They did not wait for fire service. They did not wait for LASEMA. They took action immediately.  About six to seven young men entered the flood. Some tied rope around their waist. Others used wood and buckets. They formed a line and started pulling the kids out one after the other.  The water was up to their chest in some parts. It was risky. If one person slipped, the current could carry everyone.
