Nwoko: Delta North 2027 Not For olden Days Politics.

Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, says 2027 must mark a shift away from “olden days politics” to “politics of legacy.” Speaking after Delta North APC stakeholders endorsed President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori, and himself at a June 2025 meeting in Idumuje-Ugboko, Nwoko said defections to the APC “must not be symbolic; it must be transformative.” “We must leave behind the politics of survival and step into the politics of legacy. It is time to right the wrongs of the past,” he said. Nwoko, who joined the APC in February 2025 citing lack of support for his projects in the PDP, linked his call for new politics to the push for Anioma State. He said its creation would “give voice, identity, and institutional power” to Delta North. Gunmen Kill At Least 30 Villagers, Abduct Others in Northern Nigeria.

Gunmen have killed at least 30 villagers and abducted several others in a brutal attack on Kasuwan-Daji village in Niger state, northern Nigeria. The attackers, believed to be bandits, stormed the village on Saturday evening, opening fire on residents, burning homes and the local market, and making off with food supplies. President Bola Tinubu has condemned the attack, directing security officials to hunt down the perpetrators and rescue the hostages. "These terrorists have tested the resolve of our country and its people," he said in a statement. "They must face the full consequences of their criminal actions".  The attack is the latest in a cycle of deadly violence in the conflict-hit region, following the abduction of over 300 schoolchildren and teachers from a Catholic school in November.
