Nwoko: Delta North 2027 Not For olden Days Politics.

Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, says 2027 must mark a shift away from “olden days politics” to “politics of legacy.”

Speaking after Delta North APC stakeholders endorsed President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori, and himself at a June 2025 meeting in Idumuje-Ugboko, Nwoko said defections to the APC “must not be symbolic; it must be transformative.”

“We must leave behind the politics of survival and step into the politics of legacy. It is time to right the wrongs of the past,” he said.

Nwoko, who joined the APC in February 2025 citing lack of support for his projects in the PDP, linked his call for new politics to the push for Anioma State. He said its creation would “give voice, identity, and institutional power” to Delta North.

The senator thanked constituents for their “unsolicited” vote of confidence, noting it reflects support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E. Agenda, and his legislative efforts.

Not all party leaders agreed — the Forum of Delta North APC LGA Chairmen later distanced itself from Nwoko’s endorsement, backing only Tinubu and Oborevwori.
