Oke: Adeleke May Not Be on 2026 Osun Ballot.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Wole Oke, has said Governor Ademola Adeleke may not be on the ballot for the 2026 governorship election.

Oke, who serves as the Director General of the APC governorship campaign, made the claim while speaking to party members. He argued that internal crises and legal issues could stop the Peoples Democratic Party governor from contesting.

“We are preparing for 2026, but I can tell you Adeleke may not even be on the ballot,” Oke said. He urged APC members to remain united and focus on reclaiming the state.

The PDP has dismissed the comment, insisting Governor Adeleke remains eligible and will seek re-election. The Independent National Electoral Commission has not issued any statement on the eligibility of candidates for the 2026 Osun poll.
