"Suicide Attacks Rock Maiduguri: 23 Killed, Over 100 Injured in Boko Haram-Linked Bombings

At least 23 people were killed and over 100 injured in suspected suicide bombings in Maiduguri, north-eastern Nigeria.

The attacks targeted locations including the city's main market, the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, and the Post Office area. The police blame Boko Haram and ISWAP for the attacks, which are part of a 16-year campaign to establish a caliphate in the country, killing over 40,000 people and displacing around 2 million.

The military has raised concerns about increased threats of suicide bombings, especially during Ramadan, and urged residents to remain vigilant. Security forces have increased their presence and surveillance in Maiduguri to prevent further attacks.
