Ex-CAF disciplinary panel chair confirms Morocco walked out during 1976 AFCON final but still won title.

Morocco's 1976 AFCON win is being re-examined after a former CAF disciplinary panel chair, Raymond Hack, revealed that Morocco had walked out during the final game against Guinea.


Despite the walkout, Morocco returned to the pitch and secured a 1-1 draw, which was enough to give them the title. This revelation comes amid controversy over CAF's recent decision to strip Senegal of the 2025 AFCON title and award it to Morocco after Senegal's walkout in the final.

 The Guinea Football Federation is now seeking a review of Morocco's 1976 win, citing the recent ruling as precedent.
