"FUTA Bans Neolife, Faith Heroic Group Over Student Welfare Concerns.

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has banned the activities of Neolife and Faith Heroic Group (FHG) on its campus, citing concerns over student welfare and campus security. The university's management stated that the groups' recruitment style and mode of operation created "serious discomfort, fear, unnecessary tension, and unwarranted pressure" among students and staff, undermining the institution's peaceful academic environment.

The ban, announced in an official memo signed by the university's Registrar, Mr. Charles Adeleye, directs students to refrain from all activities associated with the groups. Failure to comply will attract serious penalties, in line with FUTA's existing regulations.

This decision follows similar actions by other universities, including Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, which banned Neolife activities in January 2026, citing concerns over alleged illegal activities and negative impacts on academic progress.
