Enyimba FC Appoints Olympic Gold Winner Uche Okechukwu as Sporting Director.
Enyimba FC, the Nigerian football giants, have appointed Uche Okechukwu, an Olympic gold winner, as their new Sporting Director. Okechukwu, fondly known as the "Gentle Giant", is a former Super Eagles defender and a club legend, having played for Enyimba FC earlier in his career. He replaces Ifeanyi Ekwueme, who resigned from the position.
Okechukwu's appointment is a major boost for Enyimba, given his vast experience and success in football. He won the Africa Cup of Nations in 1994, played at two World Cups, and was part of the Nigerian team that won Olympic gold in Atlanta 1996. His experience and leadership skills are expected to drive Enyimba's long-term ambitions and return the club to domestic and continental success.
