Manchester United has parted ways with their head coach, Ruben Amorim, after just 14 months in charge. This decision comes following a 1-1 draw with Leeds United, which sparked tensions between Amorim and the club's leadership. Amorim had expressed frustration with the club's management, stating he was the "manager, not just the coach" and emphasizing his vision for the team. 

Darren Fletcher, a former Manchester United player and current U-18 team head coach, has been appointed as the interim head coach. Fletcher will lead the team against Burnley on Wednesday.

Amorim's tenure was marked by inconsistent performances, including a 15th-place finish in the Premier League last season and a Europa League final loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
