FORMER GOVERNOR ARRESTED BY EFCC.

Chris Ngige, the former Governor of Anambra State and ex-Minister of Labour and Employment, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja. The development was confirmed by his former media aide, Fred Chukwuelobe, who clarified that Ngige is in EFCC custody and not a victim of abduction, as speculated on social media.

The exact charges against Ngige have not been publicly disclosed, but the EFCC is investigating financial and economic crimes related to his time in public office. Ngige was taken into custody by EFCC operatives at his Abuja residence and escorted away for questioning.

This is not the first time Ngige has been involved in controversy, and the EFCC has been cracking down on corruption and financial misconduct among public officials. The case may set a precedent for similar investigations.
