Taribo West Slams NFF and Lagos Govt Over Neglect of Peter Rufai's Family"

Taribo West recently spoke at Peter Rufai's funeral, expressing deep disappointment and frustration with the Nigerian government and football authorities for neglecting the legendary goalkeeper's family. He stated that Rufai's death shook him deeply, and he couldn't help but cry, unlike when his own parents passed away.

West slammed the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) and Lagos State government for abandoning Rufai's family, forcing them to solicit funds for his burial. He described the situation as "madness" and a "national shame". He also compared Rufai's plight to the neglect faced by other late Nigerian football greats, including Stephen Keshi, Thompson Oliha, and Rashidi Yekini.
