Tragedy struck in Anambra State when popular entrepreneur Ifesinachi Onyekere, aka "Fish Magnet," was kidnapped and killed by unidentified gunmen. Here's what happened


Incident Details*: On Saturday, July 26, heavily armed men in an ash-colored Lexus SUV stormed Fish Magnet's residence in Ezinifite Village, Okpuno, around 10:30 p.m. They shot him in the leg and abducted him in his navy blue Toyota Corolla.

Escape and Investigation*: The kidnappers escaped through bush paths toward Nawfia, evading security forces. Despite a ransom payment, Fish Magnet's body was later found. The Anambra State Police Command has launched an investigation and recovered his vehicle along the Ukwulu/Igbariam road.

Reactions*: Social media personality VeryDarkMan has pledged to organize a candlelight vigil in Anambra State to honor Fish Magnet. Many Nigerians have expressed outrage and grief over the incident, condemning the rising insecurity in the state.


Victim's Background*: Fish Magnet was a well-known entrepreneur and TikTok personality with over 172,000 followers. His mother, Esther Chinyere, is the Anambra State Women Leader of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
