Lagos Road Tragedy: Pedestrian Killed by Reckless Driver"

A Woman was killed on Sunday morning in a lone accident involving a black Toyota Tundra at Moshalasi Roundabout, New Ipaja Road, Lagos, after the driver reportedly lost control and veered off the road.

The car,with a plate number registered FST 222 HV, was travelling at a high speed when it struck the pedestrian walkway and killed the woman, who died instantly from the impact, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

LASTMA added that the impact also caused the vehicle to crash into a nearby private premises known to be engaged in the sale of livestock, where it inflicted significant structural damage to the perimeter fence and an adjoining advertising billboard.

Eyewitnesses at the scene report that the driver, upon realising the gravity of the calamity he had caused, made a frantic attempt to flee the scene but was quickly apprehended by LASTMA officials.
