Ronaldo Nazario has sold Real Valladolid fc.

Ronaldo Nazario has sold his stake in Real Valladolid to a North American investment group backed by a European fund for approximately €30 million.

Valladolid were relegated after finishing the season with just 16 points, half the total of second-to-last Las Palmas.

The Spanish side managed only 4 wins in 37 matches, leading to a disappointing season.

The former Brazil number 9 gave up his majority stake following Valladolid's disastrous season. The Brazilian acquired 51% of the club's shares in September 2018.

Real Valladolid will play their final league match on Saturday, away to Leganes.


Il Fenomeno" has been the target of fan frustration in recent matches. Some supporters even distributed counterfeit tickets bearing his image to protest his ownership, according to reports.

The Spanish club released a statement indicating that further details about the ownership change will be released in the coming days.


This transaction is subject to administrative authorisation from the Higher Sports Council, under current regulations.

Valladolid were also relegated after the 2020-21 and 2022-23 seasons. The club bounced back immediately to the top flight each time, spending only one year in the second division.
