FANS INVADE PITCH AFTER PENALTY,AS ENYIMBA FC VS RANGERS FC MATCH ABANDONED.

The week 35 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) match between Rangers International and Enyimba FC was on Sunday abandoned in added time following a controversial penalty.

In a recent match between Rangers fc and Enyimba fc, the game was abandoned due to a pitch invasion by fans after a controversial late penalty call. 

The match, which was highly anticipated, took a dramatic turn as tensions rose on the field.

 The referee's decision to award a penalty in the dying moments of the game sparked outrage among the supporters, leading to chaos as fans swarmed onto the pitch. The situation escalated quickly, forcing officials to call off the match for the safety of everyone involved.

The Oriental Derby at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium was a title decider with Rangers topping the league standings with 60 points and Enyimba trailing them by two points.

Fans had trooped out en masse for the fiercely contested encounter which lived up to its billing until the unpleasant scenes at the end.
