Former Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi has undergone surgery in the United Kingdom.

The surgery was carried out at the Princess Grace Hospital in the UK.

The ex-Chelsea midfielder reported via Instagram that it was a successful surgery, but he did not disclose what he was operated for.

In April 2017, he was also operated in the UK.

Mikel won the 2013 AFCON as well as a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
