Nigerian workers choose to work for free than to accept Tinubu’s N48000 new minimum wage offer.
Nigerian workers under the aegis of the National Labour Congress (NLC) has chosen to work for free rather than accepting the N48,000 new minimum wage proposed by the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Deputy President of the NLC Political Commission, Prof. Theophilus Ndubuaku, disclosed this in an interview The PUNCH on Sunday.
On Wednesday, the NLC and the Trade Union Congress (NLC) had walked away from the negotiation table after the FG offered to pay N48,000, a figure far below the N615,00 the unions demanded as the new national minimum wage.
