New Bayern Munich coach, Vincent kompany to raid Manchester city players.

Vincent Kompany, the former Manchester City captain, has recently been appointed as the new coach of Bayern Munich. There has been speculation that Kompany could potentially target some of his former Manchester City players to bring to Bayern Munich.

Kompany is a ‘huge admirer’ of Stones who is said to be “very unhappy” about his lack of game time under Pep Guardiola this season.

Stones has had injury issues but his return to fitness hasn’t seen him back in the starting lineup – he started just one Premier League game between March and the end of the season and made just 25 appearances in all competitions across the campaign.

It is common for new coaches to bring in players they are familiar with and believe can help strengthen their squad. Whether Kompany will actually target Manchester City players remains to be seen, but it would certainly add an extra layer of intrigue to the transfer market if he does decide to raid his former club for talent.
