MANCHESTER UNITED are set to sack Erik ten Hag after their FA Cup final against noisy neighbours City.

And the Red Devils are said to be lining up Mauricio Pochettino to potentially replace him.

Chelsea  parted ways with the Argentine on Tuesday evening and now he could be in line for a move to Old Trafford.

It seems all-but confirmed that under-fire Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will not be part of the club’s future.


Reports earlier today emerged suggesting Ten Hag would be sacked regardless of whether he defeats Manchester City to lift the FA Cup on Saturday.

Four names of possible replacements have risen to the top of the agenda and those are Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna, Mauricio Pochettino, Thomas Tuchel as well as Brentford’s Thomas Frank.

SunSport revealed back in April in the wake of their embarrassing FA Cup semi-final against Coventry that his time was up.

United and new part owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe could not deny that story and have refused to say he will be staying on at any time since.

Today the Red Devils were saying there would be no decisions until after the Cup Final when the season would be reviewed.

That lack of support in the run up to the Wembley showpiece against Manchester City has convinced Ten Hag his time is up after only two seasons at Old Trafford.
