Ogogo Is Alive, Family Debunks Death Rumour Amid Cancer Battle.

Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is alive, his family has confirmed, dismissing viral reports claiming he had died.

The death rumour began circulating on social media on Tuesday after a Facebook user alleged that one of the actor’s daughters, Haleemah Taiwo, announced his passing.

Reacting on Instagram, Ogogo’s daughter Lima Taiwo refuted the claim, writing:

_"This is false!!!!!!! THIS IS FAKE… PLEASE STOP SPREADING FAKE NEWS."_

Haleemah Taiwo also urged the public to _"desist from spreading unverified news"

The clarification comes less than 24 hours after both Lima and her sister Kira Taiwo made emotional appeals for help for their father.

In a video shared on Monday, Lima disclosed that the 66-year-old actor’s condition had deteriorated and alleged that some hospitals had declined to continue treating him. The family said the actor is battling stage-four cancer and that the hospital has stopped chemotherapy treatment.
