Bello Badejo Secures ₦2bn Bail as Court Grants Release.
A High Court has granted bail in the sum of ₦2 billion to the President of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Bello Badejo, who is facing criminal charges.
The court ruled that the defendant must meet the stipulated bail conditions before he can be released from custody. The conditions reportedly include the provision of sureties and other requirements as directed by the court.
Badejo was arraigned on charges brought against him by the prosecution. During the bail hearing, his legal team urged the court to grant him bail, arguing that he is entitled to the presumption of innocence and would not interfere with the trial.
The prosecution, however, opposed the application, citing the nature of the allegations. After considering arguments from both parties, the court granted the bail request with stringent conditions, including the ₦2 billion bail bond.
The case was subsequently adjourned to a later date for the continuation of trial.
