Odira Nwobu's death has sparked widespread grief in Nigeria's entertainment industry. The 43-year-old Nollywood actor and content creator passed away in South Africa on November 24, 2025, while on a promotional trip for a Nigerian-owned real estate company. He was found gasping for breath in his hotel room in Benoni, near Johannesburg, and despite attempts to revive him using a defibrillator, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Cause of Death The exact cause of Odira's death is yet to be confirmed, pending a coroner's report. However, a colleague suggested that Odira had high blood pressure issues and may have failed to take his medication as prescribed.
